Cuisine
Our cuisine is essentially based on the typical dishes of the Chianti district. Our menu is, however, flexible and we try to meet the needs and the likes of our guests.
The dishes we offer have a common feature: the strict rule to use only absolutely genuine produce and ingredients, such as our olive oil that makes our garlic bread unique; salami and cheeses are produced locally; among our game stands out our wild boar meat and the famous Panzanese from Dario Cecchini's Old Butcher's Shop.
The season vegetables come from our own orchard and enable us to meet the demands and likes of our vegetarian guests.
Wine Tasting
In the old prison of our castle it is possibile to taste the Chianti Classico "Castello di Tornano", the grappa, the vin santo, the jellies and jams. While sample tastino we always give explanations of the features and ingredients of our products. Our guests can also visit our vineyards.
Horse Riding
Riding our horses will enable you to get to know our land better. On horseback you can reach the nearby Castles through vineyards and woods. The less experienced adult riders and the children have a chance to approach the equine world under the guidance of an instructor who can teach them.
Culinary Lessons
In an informal atmosphere we organise culinary courses of the Italian cuisine with an emphasis on Tuscan dishes. There are lessons with active involvement of our guests in preparing everything from starters to the desserts, including home made pasta, local meat dishes and finally having lunch with all the dishes prepared.
Sports and Relax
Guests can enjoy moments of relaxation by the swimming pool that is an architectural jewel standing in the place where the old castle moat used to be.
Nearby there is a tennis court, a lake for fishing , table tennis, and a room massage service on demand.
